SMARTIE Goal #1 (MATH)

The percentage of students scoring a 3 or 4 on the math SBA will increase from 17% (spring 2025) to 30% in spring 2026.

SMARTIE Goal #2 (ELA)

he percentage of students scoring a 3 or 4 on the ELA SBA will increase from 23% (spring 2025) to 35% in spring 2026.​

Goal 1 & 2 Signature Strategies

  • Increased consistency in RTI implementation for reading and math intervention and preserve group time and bell to bell instruction using IReady and in-program RTI progress monitoring (RM, CMC, Innovamat).
  • Use of systematic and explicit instruction in reading and math foundational skills during Walk to groups using IReady and in-program RTI progress monitoring (RM, CMC, Innovamat).
  • Consistent use of SIOP features - language objectives focused on R, W, L, S for all students, but especially for our ML students using observational notes and fidelity checks.
  • School-wide focus on geometry, money and time during September unit to ensure access to GVC for ALL students using PLC notes, agendas and assessment data in the month of September.
  • School-wide focus on Wonders Writing instruction – including PLC collaboration to increase explicit instruction, grade level rigor and progress monitoring using PLC notes, agendas and assessment data.

SMARTIE Goal #3 (Whole Child)

60% of scholars in grades 3-5 and 65% of families will respond “favorably” to school safety as measured by Panorama perception data in Spring 2026 as compared to only 45% (students) and 51% (families) scoring ”favorably” on the Spring 2025 Panorama survey.​

Goal 3 Signature Strategies

  • Explicit instruction on school-wide expectations for all common areas and Tier II/W2R/W2M groups using Synergy referrals. 
  • Hire additional SEL para for two hours a day during times where there is less structure for students (recess/lunch) to help with supporting school wide expectations, CICO, restorative practices and preventative measures using Synergy referrals.
  • Weekly SEL assemblies that focus on community, culture and sense of belonging using weekly assembly agendas and Panorama data.
  • Monthly school-wide focus on SEL topics that align with Second Step using the Second Step Pacing Guide.
  • Increase number of family events (Literacy Night & Math Night) with attendance and engagement at events, PBIS Family feedback surveys, and Panorama family surveys.
